The top drive device directly drives the drilling tool to rotate and drill from the top of the derrick. It can directly rotate the drill pipe above the derrick , extend the special track downward and upward , and complete drilling operations such as rotation , drilling , circulating drilling fluid , connecting drill pipe , repairing broken pipe , and post-expansion. The top drive drilling device is the cutting-edge technology and equipment for oil drilling today , and is one of the three major technological achievements of modern drilling equipment (AC/DC variable frequency electric drive system and downhole drill bit booster system).
The top drive drilling system has now become a standard product in the oil drilling industry. It has a wide range of applicability , and the top drive drilling system can be used for wells from 2 , 000 meters to 9 , 000 meters in depth.

Power faucet: drives the main shaft to rotate and drill.
Pipe handling device: grab and release drill pipe , make and break out , control IBOP> electrical control system.
VFD or SCR: provides power for the main motor and regulates torque and speed.
PLC: controls and monitors speed , torque and the actions of each actuator , and controls , interlocks and protects according to logical programming.
Operating table: the driller controls the actions of each part.
The hydraulic transmission and control system provides hydraulic power , transmission and control of each actuator.
Guide rail: bears the anti-torque of the top drive main body.

4.Save auxiliary drilling time and improve drilling efficiency. Each column drilled saves more than 2/3 of the auxiliary time compared to the conventional rotary drilling rig. A large number of practices at home and abroad show that the use of top drive can reduce drilling time by 10% to 30%;
5.It is particularly suitable for drilling directional wells and horizontal wells. The drilling capacity can be significantly improved compared with the conventional rotary drill with the same drilling capacity , thereby greatly reducing the drilling cost;
